| Orion, your adventure guide Orion loves to share beauty, and he has found some amazing and beautiful places and some fabulous wines he'd love to share with you. After retiring in 2001, Orion moved to the wine country in northern California and began doing extensive research there. He now knows where to find the best Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Cabernet, Merlot, Sangiovese, Dolcetto, and just about every other varietal you can imagine.... even some wonderful Rieslings. He has worked at Satori Cellars, Camellia Cellars, and Matrix winery and created a wine and food pairing event in the Hummingbird Gardens at Mark West Lodge where he invited and poured wine alongside over 20 local winemakers. Orion's love of wine goes back over 20 years. He has relationships with quite a few of the wineries in the Russian River, Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys, and many of the wineries in the Heart of Sonoma, Carneros, and the Calistoga/Silverado Trail areas of Napa (that is, off the beaten path). |
